Russia marks Victory Day with biggest military parade in decades
Six Su-25 fighter jets flew over the Red Square, "painting" a Russian national flag with red, white and blue smoke in the clear blue sky, while cheerful crowds on the ground watched in awe as they joined in one of the most spectacular Victory Day parades in Russia's history.
On Sunday, Russia staged the largest military ceremony since 1991 to mark the 65th anniversary of its victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, along with leaders from over 20 countries including China and Germany, watched the grand parade on the Red Square in central Moscow.
More than 11,000 Russian and foreign servicemen, including U.S., French and British troops, attended the parade. This is the first time that Western troops strode across the Russian capital.

Overthrow a Sign of Tea-Party Clout
Republican officials sought to unify the party after Saturday's tea-party driven ouster of three-term Utah Sen. Robert Bennett.
Mr. Bennett became the year's first victim of the anti-incumbent fervor sweeping through the Republican Party when he lost his bid for his party's nomination at a state GOP convention here. GOP activists blasted him as a Washington insider who had lost touch with Utah's conservative ideals and will instead nominate a tea party-backed populist candidate who promises to reduce the scope of the federal government.
The GOP candidate hasn't yet been chosen, but it will be one of Mr. Bennett's two challengers, businessman Tim Bridgewater and lawyer Mike Lee, both favored by the tea party and who will face off in a June 22 primary. The winner will be favored to win the general election in this heavily Republican state.
Mr. Bennett has missed the filing deadline to run as an independent contestant, but he can run as a write-in candidate. In congratulating his two opponents he appeared not to be favoring that option, and a Bennett spokeswoman on Sunday said a write-in campaign was unlikely.
Following the loss, Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, also chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, issued a statement saying the committee would "wholeheartedly support the Republican candidate that primary voters in Utah ultimately choose as their nominee." Other GOP senators such as Jim DeMint of South Carolina went so far as to endorse Mr. Lee in the Utah primary.
The rush to embrace a likely tea-party backed candidate in Utah show how Republican politicians are increasingly having to pay attention to the clout of the movement. As several other states prepare to hold primaries in coming weeks, the Bennett race offers an early gauge of the tea party's power, though Utah's voting peculiarities make the measure imprecise.
Favorites of the Republican establishment, such as Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Senate candidate Trey Grayson of Kentucky, face intra-party challenges and questions about their conservatism from the tea party.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said on ABC's "This Week" Sunday that the tea party was pushing GOP candidates back to the party's core principles. "We need Republicans who are ideologically committed to standing up against that," Mr. Giuliani said of President Barack Obama's agenda, "and really moving us in a different direction. I think that's what you see going on with the tea party movement. I think that's what you see going on."
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine said the ouster shows the GOP has "handed the reigns to the tea party," which would see Sen. Bennett as "too liberal, just goes to show how extreme the tea party is.''
In an interview Thursday before he lost his nomination bid, Mr. Bennett said that while the tea party would benefit the GOP in some states, it might hurt them in others. As an example he cited Nevada, where both a Republican and a third-party candidate backed by the tea party are running against Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He said the two challengers could split the anti-Reid vote and give the senator another term.
Mr. Bennett's defeat was stunning for several reasons. Sitting senators are rarely ousted in intra-party races before November elections. Mr. Bennett had been popular in Utah, winning his third term in 2004 with 69% of the vote. On top of that, he earned top grades from conservative advocacy groups.
The senator was ultimately felled because of questions over his conservatism. He voted for the 2008 bank rescue and co-authored a bipartisan health-care proposal that included a requirement for individuals to buy insurance. Utah's unusual nominating system was another factor.
In Utah, candidates must secure the approval of their party's delegates, who are more ideological than typical voters, before advancing to a primary election.
At Saturday's state GOP convention, Mr. Bennett was ousted in the second of three rounds of delegate voting. He finished third out of three candidates, securing just 27% of the vote; only the two top vote-getters advanced to the primary election. The result's announcement drew a roar from the crowd of 3,500 delegates.
"The political atmosphere, obviously, has been toxic and it's very clear that some of the votes I have cast have added to the toxic environment," a teary-eyed Mr. Bennett told reporters minutes after the vote. "Looking back on them ... I wouldn't have cast any of them any differently, even if I had known at the time they were going to cost me my career."
Mr. Bennett lost despite appeals throughout the day. In a speech before the first vote, he had 2008 presidential candidate and Utah hero Mitt Romney introduce him. In a speech, he argued that his seniority in the Senate made him the best-suited candidate. "Don't take a chance on a newcomer," he said.

Cultivate Your Reading Habit
We may say with, certainty that the more one reads, the better one understands; and that the better one understands, the more one is inclined to read. In other words, from reading comes understanding, and from understanding comes more reading. The reading habit is actually cultivated by reading itself.
Now let us discuss the question of what to read. There are books on various subjects―history, literature, philosophy, science, fine arts, etc. When you are to choose from among a vast number of subjects the best books to read, you will feel quite at sea. I therefore suggest that, before you proceed to read any book, you try to find out what others have done before you, that is read the results of other people's labour first. Usually newspapers or magazines are always your convenient guide to the world of best writings.
Another problem is how to read. Here, I would offer two suggestions: concentration and reflection. You cannot well understand what is said in books unless you concentrate your mind on what you read. And then you must think over what you have read. This is reflection which helps to summarize your reading. To a great extent, concentration and reflection are interdependent.
A reading habit thus formed will prove valuable to you. Whenever you have spare time, you will resort not to places of pleasure, but to the bookshelves, you will not feel lonesome when you are alone, because you can see all kinds of characters moving and acting on the pages, and you can hear all kinds of good counsel. In the long run, your imaginative power will be increased, your esthetic sensibility heightened, your vocabulary enlarged, and finally your ability of writing tremendously improved.

Wireless Mobile Self-Organized Network namely Ad Hoc network is a non-central node, multi-hop, self-organization, energy-constrained network. So it is necessary to detect and handle such misbehavior promptly and effectively. In the wireless mobile Ad Hoc network, through establishing the observation node, gathering the neighbor node's behavior information, we take these informations as the sampleing value, and utilize the signal sequence detection to detect such misbehavior. The simulation results indicate that with the appropriate parameters, the method in this paper can not only reliably and timely detect the misbehavior, but also minimize the average number of required observations.Secondly, we present modifications to the DCF mechanism of IEEE 802.11 protocol, instead of the sender selecting random backoff values to initialize the backoff counter, the receiver selects it and sends it to the sender in the CTS or ACK. The EIED (Exponential Increase Exponential Decrease) backoff algorithm is utilized to vary the contend window. Modifications to the DCF mechanism are used to detect the misbehavior. The penalty measures are taken further to correct the misbehavior. Simulation results indicate that the ratio of correctly detecting the misbehavior is improved and the throughput of the whole networks is increased with the proposed mechanism.

Yeah, listening to the old songs like Yesterday Once More, Those Were the Days My Friends ... always stirs something up in me, and hopelessly see my mood drifting away, somehow, I would let it (my mood) be and set it free most of the time, for those small things and scenes are worth being revisited and replayed, which would be flowing through my head, like a movie ... ... playing at the street corner when we were kids, lying on the gentle, green hill, wandering at the beach and letting the sea water massage our feet and the breeze take away our pensive moods.

Its impossible to control and its hard
everyday I seem to let down my guard
I get hit with the unthinkable challenges
And in the end nothing balances
Loss job, lost relationship, lost family where does it stop
I lose my mind and eveything just drops
Insanity and fear takes over my mind
Im in a horrible bind
Trying to escape the rath of no return
But I continue to burn
I think positive and then it turns
my stomach churns
Im screaming from the inside but noone hears me
the pain wont let me be
Failure outweighs my happiness
Im on a stage in front of a society that is clapless
Then I move on
And Life seems like a good bond
then in a split second things change

Toying with a word, "run" - doing my English homework
I have been going through these lines over and over, and fancied myself poking around the idea to get my first hand experience.
Here is a word, run the basic meaning is to move using your legs, going faster than when you walk. Yes, I am able to see a vivid picture of someone running. As I was exploring "run" a bit further with a handful of examples, some patchy fog started to roll into my mind.
1. He is running for the president? (a campaign as a long distant race, make sense).
2. The road runs parallel to the river. (a road as a moving object, make sense)
3. He was running his eyes all over her. (an eye as a moving object, make sense, NOT sure?)
4. Running the big department store is a tough job. (a big department store as a soccer field? partly make sense, NOT sure. or compare a big department store to something else? Although running means managing in this sentence, I can't get a firm grip on it because I can't get a clear source image to which my target one (a big department store) maps. I'm afraid that I won't feel comfortable to use it.)
5. Mom, stop running my life. (same as #4, my life as a soccer field? Doesn't make sense, or compare my life to something else? Although running means controlling in this sentence, I can't get a firm grip on it because I can't get a clear source image to which my target one (my life) maps. I am afraid that I won't feel comfortable to use it.)
6. We ran out of fuel. (make sense)
7. He ran out of ideas (idea is some sort of fuel, still make sense)
8. The course of true love never runs smoothly, quoted from a Shakespeare play. (lovers embarking on the lifelong journey or something like that, make sense, wish I could come up with some beautiful verse like that.).
